A Tour Through Noncommutative Rings

Abstract: Thanks to Galois there is a beautiful and comprehensive theory of fields which has led to some other wonderful concepts in modern algebra. Understanding Galois extensions has been important in my journey to discovering noncommutative (division) rings. In this talk, I’ll share a bit about my past travels, hopes for my future travels, and a little trek I took down a road of noncommutative objects that don’t divide.
