AWM Event Proposal for JMM

The 2024 Joint Mathematics Meeting will be held in San Francisco, CA, January 3 - 6, 2024. As a partner of the Joint Mathematics Meeting, certain special sessions, panels, and other events at the JMM can be designated as AWM events. This form is Step 1 of 2 for submission of Special Sessions, Panels, PEPs and other Events. You must also complete a corresponding submission for the AMS.

Describe your session in no more than 1500 characters, including spaces. The summary should be written to attract those who specifically work on your topic as well as those who work in related areas. Please including the following information: • Explain the problem area to be addressed, its importance and applications. • Identify current directions of research and methods being developed to solve problems, including their advantages and shortcomings. • Describe the scope of your session. *

Presentation titles and abstracts will be required after sessions have been selected.
