University of North Carolina Chapel Hill
Mission
The AWM Chapter at UNC-Chapel Hill provides an opportunity for both women and men in the Math Department to address imbalances at hand and encourages the success of UNC’s female mathematicians. The UNC Student Chapter of AWM facilitates the building of relationships between students and faculty of all genders and ages, with the goal that all members will find support and encouragement in their work and studies. Activities and Achievements
- Monthly chapter meetings and public lectures for members
- Winner of the AWM Student Chapter award for Community Outreach at Mathfest in August 2017.
- Organized the first AWM Triangle Conference funded by NSF.
- Meet the Speaker series for AWM members to talk with female mathematicians invited to UNC

University of Oregon
Mission
The Association for Women in Mathematics at the University of Oregon was founded in the spring of 2013. The purpose of the University of Oregon student chapter of AWM is to increase visibility of women in mathematics within the greater UO community and to support females and other underrepresented groups participating in the mathematical sciences.

- Undergraduate Reading Program (started by AWM Chapter and now run by department)
- AWM Distinguished Speaker Series
- K-12 Outreach to the Eugene-Springfield Community
- Winner of the 2018 AWM Student Chapter Award for Scientific Excellence
